What we know about the release date and details of Tokyo Revengers Season 3!

The timer for Tokyo Revengers season 3 has officially started counting down. And so, it won’t be long before we get to delight our eyes with Takemichi changing the past to captivate all our futures. But what’s the launch date for Tokyo Revengers – Tenjiku Arc?

If you’re here searching for answers, keep reading, as in this article, we’ll discuss everything we know about the third season of Tokyo Revengers anime so far!!

Based on Ken Wakui’s sci-fi manga series, Tokyo Revengers anime became a sudden hit as it turned millions of heads with its fascinating take on time travel.

The idea of time-loop paradoxes is nothing new to otakus, as several anime have already explored a protagonist traveling to the past and changing everyone’s future. But what sets Tokyo Revengers apart is how well each character is depicted. It feels like they’re all real-life people with very human ambitions and independent thoughts.

That’s why every single time Takemichi returns to the past and rectifies one incident, that doesn’t change the dark fate for the Tokyo Manji gang, as other characters continue the past timeline with a new set of motivations.

That being said, Tokyo Revengers’s appeal certainly goes beyond character design!

It’s because the storyline beautifully materializes ideas such as unbreakable friendships, redemption, and second chances at life. Also, Ken Wakui’s story didn’t just create flawless timelines but also a brilliant depiction of street gangs and Yanki culture – something he directly experienced during his high school years.

Considering all this, it’s no wonder Studio Liden Films renewed the series for a second season within months of the first season’s finale.

But there was a 1-year gap between the confirmation and release dates of the second season. And so, fans started demanding an early renewal for season 3 of Tokyo Revengers just as the second season began airing. It seems that the anime’s creators also kept up with social media trends as they granted our wish much earlier than we all anticipated.

Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku Arc Anime Release Date

Yes, Tokyo Revengers Season 3 is officially renewed, and it will start airing on October 4, 2023. The anime’s official media team released a short PV mainly featuring Izana Kurokawa, one of the new characters and Tenjiku’s main leader.

While the PV confirmed the production of “Tenjiku Arc,” it gave no hint of when the anime would be aired at that time. But several new announcements have been made since then, and we have an exact release date too.

And so, we now know when to expect Tokyo Revengers season 3!

Tokyo Revengers Season 3 Trailer:

On June 18, 2023, the official media team of the series released the first trailer for Tokyo Revengers season 3 through the anime’s YouTube channel.

While the trailer promised a season full of action and thrill, it also unveiled details regarding the upcoming season’s staff and new cast members.

But as you’re interested in the release date of the Tokyo Revengers – Tenjiku Arc anime, I bet you’ll be craving to know what to expect from the coming season.

Tokyo Revengers Season 3 Plot & Tenjiku Arc Expectations:

Previously, the changed past led Mikey to become very violent and kill all his friends. And so, Takemichi returns to the past and decides to become the leader of the Tokyo Manji Gang to save everyone from this bleak fate.

But in the past timeline, a gang from Yokohama named Tenjiku initiated a full-blown assault on the Tokyo Manji Gang. So, the Tokyo Revengers season 2 finale featured Takemichi’s division taking the first hit of Tenjiku’s attack.

While most of Takemichi’s fellows escape, he gets cornered and comes across Tetta Kisaki, who reveals that he has joined Tenjiku and declares that the “Kanto Incident” is happening.

And so we can expect Tokyo Revengers season 3 to pick the story from where the second season concluded. If that happens, the third season’s first episode will begin with a confused Takemichi wondering why Kisaki called him a ‘Hero’ and then left with Shuji Hanma.

Later, the Twin Devils, i.e., Souya Kawata and Nahoya Kawata, will take Chifuyu and Takemichi to begin their counter-attack on Tenjiku. But it will soon become clear that they’d need much more information to follow up on their plans.

Though “Tenjiku Arc” extends from the manga chapters 122-188, the last season has already covered manga up to chapter 125. Also, each anime episode roughly covers 3-4 manga chapters. So, we can expect that Tokyo Revengers season 3 will likely cover manga chapters 126-188 in about 13-18 episodes.

Also, the manga features two more arcs after the Tenjiku arc, i.e., “Bonten Arc” and “Final Arc.” So, we’re hopeful that studio Liden Films will renew the series for Tokyo Revengers season 4, too, after the third season concludes.

But all of this is a mere assumption, and we’ll have to wait a bit more before official announcements are made in this regard.
